The Heartwood & Hide collection is a visual memoir for several weathered sentinels I've encountered throughout the Pacific Northwest. 

This hand drawn series was born from my travels through the great forests of the Banff, Revelstoke, Kootenay, Glacier, and Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forests stretching throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Montana. 

Once towering trees with blooming flora, these inspiring stumps are now gracefully returning to the soil. Through these drawings, I explore the symbolism of their deep-seeded roots, honoring the enduring spirit of what they once were, the silent history they hold, and the grand life cycle they’re a part of.

Details on Purchasing Prints

  • Please note that prints may have slight cropping to the edges of the artwork in order to accommodate various sizes and formatting, and that the colors on your device screen may vary slightly from the colors in person.

  • All print reproductions are printed on either high-quality matte fine art paper, or archival quality canvas by my trusted printing partners. Some artworks are available to print in both materials, so you are free to choose the style most suitable for your space. Please view the options below each listing.

  • For your convenience, all canvas prints have the option of being shipped two different ways:

    • Rolled; to be stretched and framed by a professional framer of your choice in your local area, or

    • Pre-stretched in a “gallery-wrapped” canvas style, with a 1.25” depth, ready to hang upon delivery.

    Canvas prints are all made-to-order locally in Brandon Manitoba Canada, and may require longer shipping and delivery timeframes than the fine art print versions.

    Flat rate shipping rates are available in several countries or zones worldwide, and can be calculated at checkout once your shipping address is provided.

    If your shipping costs are not automatically calculated at checkout, please contact me at monelelestrat@mysticmo.ca for arrangments or more information.

    PLEASE NOTE: there are some countries that shipping is currently not available to. I am a small business operating from Manitoba Canada, and I currently cannot offer shipping completely worldwide. Thank you for your understanding.
